SIMON CARTER MESSUM’S

A short film that accompanied my July 2020 exhibition at Messum’s, looking at my paintings and their genesis in the coastal landscape of Essex.

This short film looks at six key aspects of my work: walking, drawing, the studio, colour, painting and watercolours. Each of these ideas is addressed in exactly 30 seconds, and the film was also broken down into these segments to be published on my Instagram feed.

THE BEAUMONT PAINTINGS

The Beaumont Paintings is a short film produced to coincide with a 2018 exhibition at Messum’s. It follows a walk from Beaumont to Landermere from which the series of 14 paintings were produced.
